Director of Academic Support

Responsibilities

• Direct academic support and assistance initiatives in collaboration with faculty and course directors
• Supervise a team of learning specialists and peer note takers
• Provide personalized academic advising and specialized study plans for at-risk students, focusing on time management, note-taking, and test-taking strategies
• Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of all academic support activities
• Develop and implement innovative, holistic approaches to student guidance and resource allocation
• Assist in the completion of institutional and program accreditation reports
• Facilitate mentoring relationships and connections to academically related student organizations
• Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students

Requirements

• Minimum of a master's, doctorate, or terminal degree
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with a variety of constituents

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience advising pre-professional or professional students
• Experience working with adult learners
