Director, Nonclinical Safety

Responsibilities

• Serve as the toxicology representative on multifunctional project teams, owning the nonclinical safety program.
• Design, implement, oversee, and analyze nonclinical programs to support drug development candidates across various platforms.
• Write and review regulatory documents to support global regulatory filings from early research through registration.
• Review protocols, data, and study reports to ensure accuracy and scientific integrity.
• Lead Non-Clinical Development sub-teams and provide independent technical contributions.
• Integrate early nonclinical safety strategies throughout the Research phase.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Solve complex problems through thorough scientific assessment and lead process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• PhD in a related scientific discipline.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to work autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) in nonclinical toxicology.
• Experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to nonclinical toxicology.
