Director, Networking ASIC Architecture (Datapath/Packet Processing)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the definition of Packet Processing Engine (PPE) requirements, including performance, power, cost, and feature requirements for automotive and TSN needs.
• Develop PPE architecture for complex features across the forwarding plane and identify enhancements for performance and effectiveness.
• Partner with Product Management and software teams to translate networking objectives into architectural designs.
• Drive cross-functional teams across design, verification, and validation to identify issues and develop solutions.
• Oversee technical approaches for simulations and analyses of power, performance, and other KPIs at the PPE level.
• Guide DE/DV teams to ensure effective model-to-DV translation and increased coverage.
• Support software teams in enabling system-level functions and feature bring-up related to the PPE.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience translating PdM/SW requirements into PPE architectural designs.
• Deep experience in networking-related architecture and design.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional influence capabilities.
• Strong debugging and system-level problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in both Chinese and English (verbal and written).
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations with tight schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in networking-related architecture or design.
• 3+ years of experience interacting with senior leadership (VP level and above).
• 4+ years in a technical leadership role with direct reports.
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
