About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Network Supply Planning Team for the Alexion Rare Disease Business Unit, ensuring activities support patient needs and regulatory requirements.
- Own the end-to-end network supply planning strategy and execution across a 0–3-year horizon to ensure reliable product supply and optimal inventory levels.
- Lead the global Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) process to drive alignment between demand, supply, capacity, and inventory.
- Manage supply risk and disruption mitigation, identifying vulnerabilities early and developing proactive continuity plans.
- Establish and embed best-in-class supply planning standards, governance, and performance metrics (KPIs) across the global network.
- Partner with senior cross-functional leaders in regulatory, quality, finance, and manufacturing to ensure aligned planning and execution.
- Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of supply planning processes to improve accuracy and responsiveness.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical operations, global supply chain, or supply planning within a complex, regulated environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing global or matrixed teams in supply planning or network operations.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end product supply, including manufacturing, external supply, distribution, and market delivery.
- Strong expertise in supply risk management, continuity planning, and operational risk assessment.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, supply chain, operations, or business.
- Working knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS.
- Experience with digital planning and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
- Proven track record in launch readiness and product lifecycle planning.
