Director, Natural Resources, Asia

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and expand opportunities by providing technical risk advisory and insurance consulting services.
• Collaborate with Global, Regional, and Country Management Teams to deliver insurance solutions focused on Power and Renewables.
• Maintain and grow strong relationships with clients, projects, and prospects, managing renewals and mid-term amendments.
• Support the APAC Renewable Energy Leader with sales and retention strategies across the sector.
• Deliver thought leadership and industry technical expertise to insurers, clients, and colleagues.
• Manage new business pipelines and ensure disciplined delivery of work in progress.
• Identify and monitor sector trends relative to Natural Resources clients and prospects.

Requirements

• Minimum MAS registration (BCP, PGI, or CommGI) or equivalent qualification acceptable to MAS.
• At least 10 years of experience in energy, power, renewables, or construction insurance.
• Proven expertise in client account management and sales.
• Extensive experience engaging with C-level stakeholders, risk managers, and executive decision-makers.
• Advanced skills in negotiation, deal structuring, and sales contract management.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
