Director, Merchandising - Women’s Footwear

Rothy’s transforms single-use plastic bottles and ocean-bound marine plastic into signature thread to create sustainable wardrobe staples. Using 3D knitting technology and handcrafted assembly, they create machine-washable styles that prioritize both comfort and the planet.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute seasonal and long-range merchandising strategy for Women’s Footwear
• Build balanced, productive assortments across core and trend categories
• Drive topline and bottom-line performance, managing revenue, margin, and inventory
• Leverage sales data and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities
• Partner with Design, Product Development, Planning, Production, and Marketing for go-to-market execution
• Tailor merchandising strategies for retail, e-commerce, and wholesale channels
• Lead and mentor a team of merchandising professionals

Requirements

• 8+ years of merchandising experience in footwear, accessories, or fashion
• Proven track record in developing merchandising strategies that drive growth
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Experience working cross-functionally with Design, Planning, and Production
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Entrepreneurial spirit and proactive approach

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in women’s footwear
• Proficiency with product lifecycle management tools
• Experience with Google Suite (Sheets and Slides)
