Director, Marketing & Communications

Responsibilities

• Lead brand leadership and strategic communications to advance the organization's narrative and visibility
• Create and execute annual marketing and communications plans, including promotional calendars and audience development
• Oversee digital strategy, including website redesign, SEO, and multi-channel content for social media and email
• Manage press, public relations, and media engagement to grow local and national visibility
• Reimagine and expand the Young Audience Program to cultivate future patrons
• Supervise the Brand & Digital Marketing Designer, providing creative direction and mentorship
• Collaborate cross-departmentally with Artistic, Production, and Development teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, arts administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or brand management
• Proven experience leading marketing strategy and managing multi-channel campaigns
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Experience supervising staff, interns, or contractors
• Expertise in CRM, digital platforms, public relations, and media engagement
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends during performances

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in performing arts, nonprofit marketing, or related creative industries
