Responsibilities

  • Design and own the multi-site digital and automation deployment strategy across Re:Build’s manufacturing sites
  • Identify and prioritize specific automation projects, defining problems, scoping solutions, and estimating ROI
  • Own end-to-end project delivery from platform selection through integration, operator training, and sustained adoption
  • Create documented, repeatable deployment playbooks to ensure predictable replication across operations
  • Work with the AI Director to move AI applications to factory deployment
  • Define production data schemas and quality requirements to support the company’s broader AI and analytics strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (or related field)
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial engineering and automation
  • Hands-on deployment experience with digital systems (MES, IoT, digital twins) and physical automation (robotics, machine tending)
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing economics for both high-rate and high-mix, low-volume environments
  • Experience with robotics integration including cobots, vision-guided systems, or automated inspection
  • Ability to travel regularly to Re:Build sites (40–60% travel expected in the first year)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced engineering degree
