Director, Management Company

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including invoicing, management fee billing, and collections
• Oversee management fee accruals and collection activities from investment partnerships
• Maintain and reconcile intercompany receivables and related-party transactions
• Prepare detailed accounts receivable reports and cash flow projections for senior management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate and optimize accounting processes
• Provide backup support for multi-currency fixed asset accounting
• Support finance transformation initiatives and systems enhancements
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
• Partner with IT to improve Workday-enabled workflows and data integrity
• Assist with SEC reporting and government reporting requirements
• Mentor junior team members while managing day-to-day operations

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting, preferably in asset management
• Experience performing public company closing processes
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and both accrual and cash basis accounting
• Solid understanding of full-cycle accounts receivable processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas)
• CPA designation preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience mentoring or overseeing junior accounting professionals
• Experience with Workday Financials, Alteryx, Power Query, or Workiva
• Experience working within a global operating model with offshore teams
