Director, Managed Business Services

Responsibilities

• Lead the global outsourcing strategy and design an operating model that supports scalability and risk mitigation.
• Drive business transformation by shifting outsourcing models from transactional tasks to transformational outcomes.
• Manage the end-to-end vendor selection process, including RFP leadership, vetting, and onboarding in partnership with Procurement.
• Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) to ensure favorable commercial terms and ROI.
• Establish and monitor rigorous SLAs and KPIs focused on financial accuracy, productivity, and member experience.
• Ensure all offshore and nearshore sites adhere to HIPAA, CMS, SOC2, and data privacy regulations.
• Act as the primary bridge between internal departments and external partners to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, or a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in Insurance Operations.
• 8+ years of experience managing multi-location and cross-functional teams.
• 6+ years of experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• 6+ years of experience leading large-scale implementations across multiple sites or business units.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement and managing 3rd-party BPO/ITO relationships.
• Strong legal and commercial acumen with experience in multi-million dollar contract negotiations.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or a relevant advanced degree.
• 10+ years of experience on the Insurance Payer side.
• Advanced experience in healthcare or contract management functions.
• Experience managing international teams across different time zones (APAC, LATAM, EMEA).
• Proven track record of scaling an outsourcing program from scratch to a global footprint.
