Director - Logistics & Supply Chain

Responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy, and priorities for logistics, including information and material flow roadmaps.
• Oversee customer logistics interfaces and monitor customer ratings to implement corrective actions.
• Drive automation and digitalization in planning, physical logistics, warehouse management, and material flow.
• Manage inbound, internal, and external material movements to ensure inventory accuracy and optimal turns.
• Coordinate economical transportation and manage the design and procurement of customer and supplier packaging.
• Oversee physical logistics operations, including material storage, stock rotation, and internal delivery processes.
• Establish and optimize SAP logistics settings and oversee shipping to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to manage critical deliveries and utilize early warning tools for distressed suppliers.
• Lead continuous improvement activities related to Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Manage the logistics budget and oversee pre-production logistics organization for new programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or 10 years of related experience/training.
• Proven experience in inbound planning, customer service, and transportation management.
• Experience in warehousing, shipping, and receiving operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Ability to learn and utilize software packages such as SAP.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to create a vision and motivate a team.
• Ability to make independent decisions regarding complex logistical matters.
