Director, Local Media Distribution

Responsibilities

• Develop MLB’s ongoing strategy for local rights distribution, including executive presentations and research
• Prepare deal materials for key renewals
• Negotiate and execute linear distribution agreements with traditional and virtual MVPDs
• Manage assigned corporate and regional MVPD accounts
• Oversee planning and governance of OTA promotional game packages
• Source new business and distribution opportunities across linear and digital partners
• Collaborate with MLB Local Media, MLB Network, and NHL Network stakeholders
• Develop and execute local ad sales and corporate promotional programs
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and sporting events

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in MVPD partnerships, marketing, sports media, or media strategy
• Experience in local/RSN linear rights negotiations
• Strong understanding of deal structuring within the linear local sports media landscape
• Working knowledge of legal contracts and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Ability to work in Secaucus, NJ and New York City, NY
• Ability to travel extensively
