Director Knicks Basketball

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of on-air game production for New York Knicks games on MSGN, including pre-season, regular season, and post-season telecasts.
• Execute the creative vision and maintain high-quality standards for home and away broadcasts, as well as ancillary segments like pre-game, halftime, and post-game.
• Manage and provide clear, creative direction to home and road technical crews.
• Coordinate with the team’s event presentation group to ensure all team-related initiatives and creative needs are effectively executed.
• Participate in game-day production meetings and represent the company professionally with league and team personnel.
• Creatively execute Network sales enhancements during broadcasts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of basketball directing experience.
• Proven ability to make split-second decisions under high-pressure live broadcast conditions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and effective time management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various departments and follow/give effective direction.
• Ability to work within designated budget objectives.
• Demonstrated creativity, vision, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing live situations.
