About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for digital capabilities, enterprise systems, and knowledge assets to enable research excellence and operational efficiency.
- Act as the Executive Sponsor and accountable owner for the global ERP project, focusing on stabilization, business adoption, and value realization.
- Define and deliver the IT and Digital Transformation strategy and roadmap aligned with the organization's long-term goals.
- Oversee IT operations, including infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and disaster-recovery frameworks.
- Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Knowledge Management strategy to support research programs.
- Manage the global IT and Knowledge Management operating budget and drive digital investment decisions.
- Lead and develop a diverse, globally distributed team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
Requirements
- Master's degree in IT, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT, digital transformation, or enterprise systems.
- Proven experience as an Executive Sponsor for large-scale ERP implementations (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a strong advantage).
- Experience managing complex, multi-country, or globally distributed organizations.
- Strong understanding of enterprise business processes such as Finance, HR, Procurement, and Grants Management.
- Knowledge of GRC frameworks and cybersecurity risk management.
- Fluency in English; working knowledge of Spanish or French is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal IT service or governance certifications (e.g., ITIL, ISO).
- Experience in international development, agriculture, research, or non-profit organizations.
- Exposure to donor-funded or grant-driven operating environments.
