Director, Internal Communications

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve internal communications strategy, systems, channels, and governance
• Shape narratives connecting technical progress and organizational priorities
• Draft and manage executive communications, including All Hands and leadership updates
• Maintain a unified editorial calendar across Slack, intranet, and newsletters
• Partner with subject matter experts to surface stories reflecting innovation and culture
• Drive voice and tone standards across all written communications
• Support change management and transformation initiatives
• Collaborate with designers and producers for multimedia assets
• Support real-time issues and crisis communications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in editorial, corporate communications, or content strategy
• Proven ability to work directly with senior executives and ghostwrite communications
• Strong editorial judgment for simplifying complex technical information
• Experience supporting organizational change or major initiatives
• Highly organized and comfortable in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or technology industries
• Familiarity with internal communications platforms and intranets
• Experience with multimedia storytelling (video, presentations)
• Ability to use analytics to inform content performance
