Director, Interest Rate Trading

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of FX and Interest Rate (IR) derivative products within the Asia region.
• Manage trading positions and market making under authorized limits to generate revenue and meet individual targets.
• Balance risk and opportunities to maximize returns for the bank while providing quality pricing to clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sales departments, onshore branches, and the Tokyo Head Office.
• Support the department by providing input for pitch materials and market information to clients.
• Mentor and train junior traders to support team growth and professional development.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant regulations, internal bank policies, and industry laws.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the banking industry.
• At least 3 years of experience in derivatives trading.
• At least 3 years of experience as a business strategist in Trading or Sales.
• JLPT N1 Certification or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency to facilitate communication with the Tokyo Head Office.
• Deep expertise in FX and Interest Rate Derivatives and current industry trends.
• Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
