About the role
Responsibilities
- Engineer, implement, and support perimeter security controls across global infrastructure
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Technology Leads to deliver security roadmaps and mature security capabilities
- Integrate security controls into the systems development lifecycle to minimize operational risks
- Align existing and new capabilities with cybersecurity policies, standards, and outcomes
- Coordinate deployments with business units to prevent service disruptions
- Operate within an agile framework using sprints, JIRA, and daily scrums
- Provide tier 4 support and participate in an on-call rotation
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in an IT engineering role
- Demonstrable experience with IT engineering concepts and the systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience with on-premises perimeter security controls (e.g., web proxies, next-generation firewalls)
- Experience with cloud-based perimeter security controls (e.g., WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust products)
- Strong technical documentation skills, including engineering specifications, runbooks, and playbooks
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years in a dedicated IT Security role
- Basic scripting ability using mainstream languages such as PowerShell or Python
- AWS and/or Azure certifications
- Proficiency with Cloud-based Security Service Edge (SSE) products, such as Zscaler ZTNA
- Familiarity with RFI/RFP processes
