About the role

Responsibilities

  • Engineer, implement, and support perimeter security controls across global infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Technology Leads to deliver security roadmaps and mature security capabilities
  • Integrate security controls into the systems development lifecycle to minimize operational risks
  • Align existing and new capabilities with cybersecurity policies, standards, and outcomes
  • Coordinate deployments with business units to prevent service disruptions
  • Operate within an agile framework using sprints, JIRA, and daily scrums
  • Provide tier 4 support and participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in an IT engineering role
  • Demonstrable experience with IT engineering concepts and the systems development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with on-premises perimeter security controls (e.g., web proxies, next-generation firewalls)
  • Experience with cloud-based perimeter security controls (e.g., WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust products)
  • Strong technical documentation skills, including engineering specifications, runbooks, and playbooks

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a dedicated IT Security role
  • Basic scripting ability using mainstream languages such as PowerShell or Python
  • AWS and/or Azure certifications
  • Proficiency with Cloud-based Security Service Edge (SSE) products, such as Zscaler ZTNA
  • Familiarity with RFI/RFP processes
