Director HSE

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Honeywell standards
• Provide leadership and guidance to site HSE teams to ensure effective implementation of initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and develop control measures
• Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into business processes
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
• Oversee the AERO inspection and auditing program and support regulatory communications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of HSE leadership experience
• 3+ years of operational HSE oversight across multiple sites
• Direct experience managing complex environmental permits (Title V air permitting, RCRA Hazardous Waste, Stormwater/Wastewater)
• Experience interacting directly with regulatory agencies
• Proven ability to lead large, complex HSE projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Ability to build and mentor HSE teams to accomplish challenging goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications in HSE-related disciplines
• Familiarity with HSE management systems (ISO)
• Experience with global HSE regulations
• Experience managing consultancy support for inspections and ESA Phase I evaluations
• Experience with HSE integration during business transitions, mergers, or acquisitions
