Director, HR Applications – Workday

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategy, roadmap, delivery, and support model for the Workday HR application suite
• Partner with HR leadership and business stakeholders to align Workday capabilities with transformation goals
• Oversee major HR processes including Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Performance, and Talent
• Provide leadership to global Workday teams, including APAC-based resources and technical architects
• Drive Workday enhancements, integrations, automation, and reporting to improve user experience
• Ensure strong governance around Workday security, access controls, and data quality
• Lead prioritization of Workday initiatives balancing business needs and operational capacity
• Establish application support standards, release management, and testing discipline

Requirements

• Strong experience leading Workday HR applications in a global enterprise environment
• Deep understanding of Workday HCM and modules (Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, etc.)
• Experience partnering with HR leadership on strategic roadmap planning
• Proven ability to lead global teams, including offshore or APAC-based delivery teams
• Experience managing major HR cycles such as compensation planning and payroll operations
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
• Experience with application governance, production support, and change management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Workday integrations, reporting, security, and business process configuration
• Experience supporting global payroll and benefits transformation programs
• Familiarity with HR technology ecosystems including ServiceNow and finance systems
• Focus on automation, AI-enabled transformation, and employee experience improvements
• Experience managing vendor partners and implementation partners
