Director – Healthcare Strategy & Transformation

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple concurrent healthcare strategy and transformation engagements, owning end-to-end delivery, workplans, and resourcing.
• Apply deep commercial payer expertise to translate reimbursement, payment policy, and network dynamics into executable strategies.
• Advise clients on business model transformation, operating model design, M&A, and product innovation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, delivering decision-ready recommendations to C-suite and government audiences.
• Oversee quantitative and qualitative analysis to ensure findings translate into clear implications and measurable value cases.
• Build and grow high-performing teams through coaching and structured skill-building.
• Drive business development and practice growth by identifying expansion opportunities and leading proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of strategy consulting experience with a focus on the healthcare payer industry.
• Demonstrated success leading complex projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Deep understanding of commercial payer environments, including reimbursement and payment fundamentals.
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
• Strong quantitative and analytic orientation with comfort in financial modeling and BI tools.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting federal health programs and complex stakeholder environments.
• Clinical operations orientation (e.g., utilization management, population health, or member experience).
• Expertise in analytics-enabled transformation, such as dashboards, scorecards, and governance.
• Knowledge of healthcare AI, cloud, or machine learning use cases in payer environments.
