About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide competent advice, guidance, and support on construction and design health and safety matters
- Act as Principal Designer on capable sites, coordinating design team meetings and assisting with H&S arrangements
- Advise clients on CDM Regulations and relevant H&S requirements for construction projects
- Conduct site inspections, assess performance, and identify compliance actions
- Audit client supply chains and management systems to ensure adherence to CDM 2015
- Develop and nurture industry relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
- Deliver health and safety training sessions to clients, project teams, and internal audiences
- Support business development through technical articles, speaking engagements, and bid support
Requirements
- Degree or Masters in H&S, Environmental, or Engineering
- Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety & Health (CMIOSH) or working towards it
- Multi-sector construction experience
- Relevant industry safety, quality, or technical membership (e.g., APS, IOB, CQI)
- Strong programme and project management skills
- Commercial awareness with ability to identify business opportunities
