Director, Head of Program Management

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a fit-for-purpose Program Management function to enable strong execution and effective decision-making
• Guide and empower Program Managers to drive integrated program plans, including timelines, risks, and budgets
• Establish and continuously improve program management capabilities, tools, and practices
• Partner with Finance and Corporate Development to prepare for Portfolio Reviews
• Facilitate and contribute to Programs/Portfolio goal setting and tracking
• Systematically monitor program risks and trends across the portfolio and ensure timely escalation
• Promote transparent communication and high-performing program/alliance teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's in life sciences, engineering, or business with 15 years of related experience (or Masters with 13 years, or PhD with 10 years)
• Significant experience in program management or cross-functional development in biotech or pharma
• Strong understanding of drug development from research through clinical development
• Proficiency with program management tools such as Office Timeline, Think-Cell, and Smartsheet or Microsoft Project
• Demonstrated ability to bridge science and business interests

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP certification
• Experience in genetic medicines
• Commercial experience
