Director HCM DevOps

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the HCM DevOps operating model, defining accountabilities across internal teams and external partners
• Ensure platform stability, availability, and performance for all HCM products through proactive monitoring
• Govern release, change, and deployment management to ensure predictable delivery of quarterly updates
• Act as the senior authority for incident, problem, and service management to drive root cause resolution
• Ensure compliance-by-design, including SOX, audit readiness, access governance, and data protection
• Partner with Product and Architecture teams to balance speed of change with risk and resilience
• Provide leadership reporting on operational health, risk exposure, and platform resilience
• Maintain architectural artefacts and translate complex technical topics for senior stakeholders

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience owning DevOps or platform operations in large-scale, regulated enterprise environments
• Extensive experience working with HCM suites, specifically Workday and adjacent services
• Proven accountability for release management, incident management, and operational controls in HR or payroll systems
• Strong understanding of operational risk, compliance, and audit expectations in people systems
• Experience leading hybrid models involving both internal teams and external operations partners
