Director, Global Markets Corporate Banking

Responsibilities

• Lead the underwriting of transactions, including due diligence, financial analysis, and the structuring and negotiation of legal documentation.
• Manage a diversified portfolio of commodities and single-product relationships through complex, cross-border trading facilities.
• Execute end-to-end transactions by coordinating with Trading, Legal, Credit Risk, Operations, and external counsel.
• Lead negotiations on key structural terms, including security, margining frameworks, and close-out provisions.
• Monitor clients, industries, and regulatory changes to assess portfolio implications and escalate emerging risks.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to Associates and Analysts.
• Act as a key First Line of Defense and credit recommender for Global Markets transactions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in corporate banking or capital markets.
• Post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Deep knowledge of capital markets, trading products, and corporate banking regulations.
• Proven expertise in portfolio management strategies and transaction execution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry knowledge in commodities, specifically metals, energy, agriculture, or carbon credits.
