About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the global Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Management System (EHS&S-MS).
- Drive culture change by communicating expectations and encouraging incident reporting and risk recognition.
- Develop tools and KPIs to monitor, measure, and communicate progress toward mitigating environmental risks.
- Manage the company’s response to government inquiries, enforcement, and regulatory matters.
- Lead EHS&S risk evaluation processes for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, including due diligence on site contamination and compliance.
- Conduct environmental compliance and EHS&S-MS audits of manufacturing facilities.
- Provide leadership to Global EHS&S monthly meetings and mentor environmental professionals.
- Oversee the Environmental Compliance module of the Global EHS&S database to ensure transparency and alignment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an environmental regulatory function within a complex manufacturing business or consulting.
- Extensive experience conducting or overseeing environmental regulatory compliance and EHS&S-MS audits.
- Demonstrated experience managing EHS&S due diligence assessments for M&A activities.
- Proven track record of negotiating with government agencies regarding regulatory development and enforcement.
- Bachelor’s degree in the sciences, environment, or engineering.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%, including international travel.
- Proficiency with EHS&S database management systems.
