Director, General Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering functions at a medical device manufacturing site, focusing on automation and digital transformation.
• Develop and execute a prioritized automation roadmap to upgrade legacy systems and transition manual operations to validated automated solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement (CI) and operational excellence (OpEx) to deliver annual engineering-led savings.
• Design and own a site-wide energy transformation roadmap, including renewable generation and energy efficiency projects.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a multi-disciplinary engineering organization, building a strong talent pipeline and culture.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and relevant safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• 6 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in medical device disposables, consumables, or single-use product manufacturing.
• Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and ISO 13485 quality management requirements.
• Experience with Industry 4.0 platforms such as MES, SCADA, or OEE analytics.
• Experience managing energy generation assets like solar PV or battery storage in an industrial setting.
• Experience in other regulated industries such as aerospace, automotive, or energy.
