Director, Football City

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, optimization, and delivery of venue-based Event Operations plans
• Lead the venue team to achieve objectives, venue readiness, and stakeholder deliverables
• Build and maintain relationships with venue partners, stakeholders, and local government agencies
• Manage venue service levels, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies
• Hire, train, and lead a diverse, high-performing venue team
• Coordinate with venue owners and local authorities to manage Venue Use Agreements (VUA)
• Prepare and deliver reports on venue agreement and operating planning status to senior leaders
• Manage venue operations for athletes, workforce, spectators, partners, and media
• Create Event Operations Plans and tools for competition venues, training sites, hotels, and airports

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in sports or event management industry
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex event operations
• Experience with major Games delivery, major event properties, or event production companies
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Excellent negotiation, diplomacy, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Past Games or international football (soccer) experience
• Familiarity with the assigned city/marketplace
