Director, First-Year Experience & Orientation

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for high-impact programs supporting new students, including Base Camp Orientation and Welcome Week.
• Oversee comprehensive first-year co-curricular initiatives designed to support student transition and engagement.
• Manage all aspects of orientation programs, including logistics, marketing, registration, budgets, and student staff.
• Collaborate with campus partners such as Admissions, Student Activities, Alumni, and academic leadership.
• Support and teach within the AU 101 course and mentor student leaders (Alpha Leaders).
• Develop a dynamic calendar of events focused on early student engagement and holistic development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience in higher education.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
• A mature Christian faith and commitment to Christian values aligned with the University's mission.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in student development, higher education, or a related field.
