Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial planning cycles
• Partner with the CFO and Executive Director of Finance to influence strategic decision-making
• Develop advanced financial models, dashboards, and AI-enabled performance measurement tools
• Conduct confidential HR-related modeling including salary budgets and workforce planning
• Oversee upgrades to financial systems including ERP, procurement, and automation tools
• Direct, mentor, and develop the Financial Officer team
• Prepare financial reports for Senior Management and the Board

Requirements

• University degree with a professional accounting designation
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting and finance
• At least 3 years of managerial and people leadership experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems like SAP
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ability to communicate complex financial data to diverse stakeholders
• Experience in strategic planning and risk management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Crown Corporation or Government organization
• Understanding of government appropriations and reporting to agencies like ISED and TBS
• Experience with analytics tools or AI-supported planning platforms
