Director, Financial Operations

Responsibilities

• Manage the business plan portfolio for new programs, facilities, and service expansions, including financial modeling and ROI projections.
• Partner with divisional finance teams to build comprehensive financial pro-formas and standardize planning tools.
• Coordinate with senior operational, clinical, and strategy leadership to align financial plans with organizational goals.
• Evaluate alternative operating, staffing, funding, and service delivery models to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the full business planning lifecycle, from concept through post-implementation tracking.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, long-range forecasting, and departmental budgets.
• Lead and develop a team of financial operations and business planning professionals.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in healthcare financial operations.
• Significant experience in large-scale business plan development at a major academic medical center, NCI-designated cancer center, or large health system.
• Demonstrated ability to execute complex business plans across a large, matrixed organization.
• Experience partnering with C-suite and senior operational leaders in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of hospital and ambulatory operations and their financial drivers.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and capital investment evaluation.

Benefits

• Competitive base salary ranging from $202,300.00 - $343,700.00.
• Eligibility for a competitive annual bonus.
