Director, Financial Institutions

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive account planning processes for existing and target financial institution clients
• Collaborate with the local Managing Director and APAC Head of Institutional Investor Coverage to build the institutional investor strategy for Oceania
• Lead and mentor direct reports, including VPs and Analysts, to achieve revenue and return targets
• Partner with product specialists to design bespoke financial solutions such as acquisition financing, fund finance, and debt capital markets
• Cultivate high-level relationships with C-suite executives at new and existing client organisations
• Oversee new transactions in collaboration with the credit division to maintain robust credit quality standards
• Monitor risk metrics and implement effective controls to ensure overall portfolio health

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in corporate or investment banking
• 5+ years of experience in a senior relationship management capacity
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or Economics
• Proven experience leading direct reports and developing team capabilities
• Deep knowledge of acquisition financing, fund finance, debt capital markets, and risk management
• Strong expertise in credit management principles and portfolio health monitoring
• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills for managing complex stakeholder landscapes

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional professional qualifications such as CAIA or CFA
