About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead all regional controllership activities across EMEA, including general accounting, month-end close, and statutory reporting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Oversee compliance with local tax, regulatory, and financial reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with corporate accounting and FP&A teams to support consolidated reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance with SOX frameworks.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and regulatory examinations across the region.
  • Drive process improvement and standardization initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Manage and develop regional accounting and finance teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including multinational or regional controllership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and multinational statutory reporting.
  • Experience managing finance operations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions and currencies.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, or ACCA is strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in gaming, technology, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting mergers, integrations, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and operating within private equity-backed environments.
