About the role
Responsibilities
- Strengthen and build relationships with members of Congress and the Executive Branch regarding semiconductor and advanced technology manufacturing policy
- Identify legislative opportunities to drive semiconductor strategy, including CHIPS and Science Act implementation
- Coordinate events, meet and greets, and advocacy campaigns in the DC office
- Execute political outreach and fundraising activities for the company's PAC
- Engage with House and Senate committees overseeing technology, tax, trade, and export controls
- Monitor and report on significant legislation, regulations, tariffs, and critical minerals policy
- Support semiconductor and foundry business teams at federal, state, and local levels
- Represent the company at trade associations and industry stakeholder meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum of 10 years in an advocacy role, preferably in semiconductor or tech ecosystems
- Previous experience working with U.S. government officials
- Strong command of policy issues including trade, export controls, energy, and tax incentives
- Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Graduate degree
- Experience with CHIPS Act implementation or export control policy
- Familiarity with Samsung’s semiconductor products and manufacturing strategy
