Director, Facilities Operations

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year facilities roadmap aligned to data center expansion and manufacturing scale-up plans
• Manage a geographically distributed portfolio of sites including hyperscale campuses, manufacturing facilities, and corporate offices
• Set and enforce uptime, maintenance, and service-level standards across all facilities
• Own critical systems management including power distribution, cooling, UPS, generators, and building management systems
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime
• Partner with energy teams to integrate on-site generation assets like natural gas and battery storage
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing facilities team including regional managers and site leads
• Own facilities OpEx and CapEx budgets and lead RFP processes for major projects
• Ensure compliance with building codes, fire codes, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements

Requirements

• 10+ years of facilities management experience
• 5+ years leading facilities operations for mission-critical environments (data centers, manufacturing, or similar)
• Deep knowledge of critical infrastructure systems including power, cooling, and fire/life safety
• Experience managing multi-site portfolios across multiple geographies
• Proven track record of building and leading high-accountability facilities teams
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing OpEx/CapEx budgets in the $10M+ range

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center operations
• Familiarity with non-traditional energy environments (natural gas, battery storage, renewables)
• Background in manufacturing or industrial facilities operations
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Data Center Design Consultant (CDCDP) credentials
• Experience supporting rapid organizational scaling
