About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Exchange Traded Derivative and Futures Operations team to ensure efficient, risk-aware, and compliant operations.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to improve operational efficiency, automation, and standardization.
- Oversee governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management, including AML/ATF and sanctions requirements.
- Build and maintain a high-performing, inclusive team through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clearing partners across Canada, the U.S., Europe, and other regions.
- Drive transformation initiatives and process improvements to adopt industry best practices and enhance client experience.
- Manage resources and budgets to meet business objectives and regulatory obligations.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of senior operational management experience within capital markets.
- Extensive expertise in Exchange Traded Derivatives, clearing processes, and related regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of wholesale banking operations, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
- Proven ability to design and execute transformation strategies and implement process automation.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience influencing at the executive level.
- Demonstrated success in leading large teams and driving cultural change in complex environments.
