Director Event Security

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Post Orders, and security policies.
• Manage administrative security reporting, including incident reports, event summaries, and flash reports.
• Oversee security staff training, progress monitoring, and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct security investigations and respond to emergencies, including CCTV footage analysis.
• Act as a liaison to the venue General Manager and attend production meetings to define security requirements.
• Manage the event security budget and forecast staffing levels in collaboration with Finance and Booking groups.
• Build and maintain relationships with local law enforcement, talent, and client representatives.
• Partner with the learning and development team to establish staff training and tabletop exercise programs.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of security operations and management experience, ideally in entertainment, sports, or theatre venues.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing budgets and executing third-party contracts.
• Proven experience working in a union environment and participating in collective bargaining negotiations.
• Technical knowledge of CCTV, surveillance equipment, radio communication, and life safety systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Possession of an NV Alcohol Awareness Card and an LVMPD Unarmed Security Work Card.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience working alongside C-Suite Executives.
