About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development and execution of sustainability programs and initiatives to reduce the company's environmental footprint.
  • Collaborate with site managers to ensure consistent implementation of environmental programs across all locations.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Design, implement, and manage environmental programs for compliance with company policy, government regulations, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Investigate incidents and close-calls to identify root causes and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of environmental data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in EHS Management.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles with experience overseeing teams and projects.
  • In-depth understanding of environmental regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience leading Sustainability and ESG initiatives.
  • Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Executive-level presentation skills and the ability to train others effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CHMM, CEP, PE, or REM.
