About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic Technology Risk and Control advisor to Enterprise Data & AI leadership, providing guidance on data, privacy, and AI risks.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of risk professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Drive risk identification, assessments, control evaluations, and issue management across enterprise data and AI capabilities.
  • Partner with leadership to assess risks associated with data products, cloud-native architectures, and AI enablement initiatives.
  • Establish and embed scalable risk and control practices within modern delivery environments, including MLOps, DevOps, and Agile.
  • Represent the organization within key governance forums such as Data Governance, Privacy, and Model Risk Management councils.
  • Provide forward-looking insights on emerging technologies, including Generative AI, agentic AI, and evolving regulatory landscapes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in AI Risk, Data Risk, Technology Risk, or Risk & Control Management within a large, highly regulated organization.
  • Proven experience supporting AI/ML, Generative AI, and emerging agentic capabilities, including model lifecycle management and responsible AI principles.
  • Deep expertise in technology risk management, including governance, risk assessments, and regulatory engagement.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, data protection, privacy, and enterprise data platforms.
  • Exceptional executive presence with the ability to advise senior leaders and translate complex technical issues into actionable business decisions.
  • Experience partnering across all lines of defense, including Compliance, Legal, Audit, and Independent Risk Management.
  • Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree in a related technical or business field is preferred.
