Director Engineering, Warehouse Technology

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year architecture and delivery roadmap for Warehouse Management (Manhattan WMS), Automated Fulfillment (TGW/ASRS), and DC Integrations.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Digital Product teams to prioritize initiatives that drive business KPIs like throughput and order accuracy.
• Lead multiple vendor squads and systems integrators, setting clear objectives and coaching for growth.
• Oversee new DC/3PL launches, platform upgrades, and peak-season readiness.
• Evolve modern integration architectures using APIs, messaging, and event-driven patterns to connect WMS, OMS, and ERP systems.
• Drive SRE-grade operations, including incident response, telemetry, and observability for 24x7 fulfillment environments.
• Manage strategic vendor relationships, including SOWs, SLAs, and QBRs.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software or data engineering experience supporting supply chain or warehouse technology.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Deep expertise with Manhattan WMS (Active/SCALE or WMi iSeries).
• Proven experience operating automated fulfillment platforms such as TGW or comparable ASRS/conveyance systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or equivalent programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, API design, and event-driven integrations (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Expertise in relational database design and query optimization.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
