Director, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and staff the MSB Design Center in Bengaluru, focusing on RF/Analog IC design and verification.
• Drive recruiting and staffing efforts for IC designers, verification engineers, and layout engineers.
• Act as the technical leader for complex front-end module designs, including filters, switches, and LNAs.
• Serve as the internal advocate and voice for the Bengaluru site, communicating strategy and goals to local personnel and US management.
• Manage a team of managers and engineers within a matrix reporting structure.
• Participate in frequent technical design reviews and meetings with global counterparts.
• Travel to the US on a regular basis to collaborate with US-based teams.

Requirements

• BSEE degree; MS preferred.
• 15+ years of IC Design experience.
• 10+ years of technical leadership and management experience.
• Deep understanding of RF SOI technology (RF switch, tuning, and RF LNA design).
• Strong expertise in Analog Design (ADC/DAC, Bandgaps, Op-Amps, LDO, etc.).
• Proficiency with Cadence EDA tools and knowledge of 2D/3D EM simulation tools.
• Experience with microwave techniques such as transmission lines, Smith charts, and impedance matching.
• Strong understanding of Cellular/WiFi systems (2G to 6G).
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills for presenting technical status to senior management.
