Director, Engineering Sciences

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on failure analysis investigations and plan/execute laboratory tests
• Assist with field inspections and communicate findings to clients and counsel
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and expert documentation
• Participate in the preparation of hearings, trials, and mediations
• Manage day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements, including project management and budget oversight
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, peers, and clients

Requirements

• PhD or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
• Approximately 10 years of professional work experience
• Proven expertise in experimental or solid mechanics
• Previous experience testifying in depositions, trials, arbitration, or hearings
• Excellent expert report writing and analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities
• Ability to travel as needed to support engagements
