Director, Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering across power electronics, embedded systems, circuit design, and hardware development
• Own the full hardware development process including schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit simulation
• Drive power system integration, power conversion, motor control, and energy-efficient solutions
• Ensure embedded system architecture meets performance and real-time firmware integration requirements
• Champion DFM and DFT practices in partnership with manufacturing and contract manufacturers
• Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, industrial design, and R&D
• Mentor and develop engineering talent to build long-term team depth

Requirements

• 8+ years in electrical engineering
• 3+ years in technical leadership or management
• Deep expertise in power electronics, power conversion, motor control, and battery systems
• Solid background in embedded systems design, microcontrollers, and real-time firmware integration
• Proven track record developing and launching high-volume consumer electronics
• Strong grasp of DFM, DFT, and hardware regulatory compliance
• Experience managing DVT processes and certification requirements
