Director, EDG Commercial Development (Thermal)

Responsibilities

• Originate and develop GW-scale energy and infrastructure projects to support next-generation compute campuses
• Site, design, and deliver power and land to energy-intensive AI compute deployments
• Execute complex energy and real estate deals from start to finish
• Develop power sourcing strategies focused on thermal resources and carbon capture and storage (CCS)
• Lead negotiation and structuring of power purchase agreements (PPAs) and real estate agreements
• Manage interconnection submittals and property tax abatement negotiations
• Analyze regulatory and policy developments impacting energy and AI industries

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the energy industry (thermal asset project development, financing, or origination)
• Proven experience in power marketing and PPA negotiation for thermal resources
• Strong understanding of thermal power generation, heat rates, and dispatch economics
• Deep understanding of U.S. energy markets and ISO/RTO market rules
• Relevant degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with carbon capture and storage (CCS) infrastructure
• Familiarity with ERCOT market
• Experience working with AI infrastructure providers, hyperscalers, or compute developers
