Director, DSI Operations & Strategy

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and programmatic leadership to the Data Sciences Institute (DSI)
• Develop and manage strategic partnerships across institutional, governmental, and sectoral borders
• Lead the development of national research strategies and training programming
• Oversee the execution of strategic communications plans and prepare key impact reports
• Manage DSI governance, research collaboration funds, and budget allocations
• Implement hiring strategies and manage human resources and financial operations

Requirements

• Post Graduate Degree in statistical sciences, computer science, or a related field (PhD highly desirable)
• 10 years of experience working within a research setting
• Proven experience in strategy development and implementation of academic programs
• Experience in senior administrative roles managing complex relationships
• Demonstrated experience in financial, human resources, and communications management
• Project management, business, or financial management certificate

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a large university environment or complex organizational setting
• Knowledge of organizational governance and policy interpretation
• Strong ability to build consensus among senior University Officers and external stakeholders
