Director Domestic Ethanol Trading

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute domestic ethanol trading strategies with a focus on market development and customer needs.
• Build and expand relationships with key ethanol customers, brokers, and counterparties such as oil companies and distributors.
• Manage and optimize the third-party terminal network to enhance service reliability and market reach.
• Supervise and develop a team of traders and account managers, fostering a culture of commercial excellence.
• Identify and capitalize on arbitrage and distribution opportunities to enhance trading margins.
• Collaborate with internal execution, operations, and credit teams to ensure seamless trade execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commodity trading and merchandising.
• At least 5 years of specific experience in ethanol or biofuels.
• Proven leadership experience managing trading teams and direct reports.
• Experience with rail arbitrage and cross-country distribution.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel overnight (less than 15%).

• Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
