Director, Disability Services Program

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage program operations across 14 city-wide locations to ensure efficient delivery of disability eligibility determinations
• Manage the Disability Services Program, including administrative oversight of two regions and subordinate managers
• Develop strategic plans, formulate goals, set priorities, and monitor staff performance
• Serve as a primary liaison with SSA, OHA, HASA, FIA, MICSA, and other government entities
• Perform administrative managerial functions including recruitment, promotion, and staff evaluation
• Formulate and implement policies and procedures to enhance disability determination provisions
• Direct analytical staff in data collection and report preparation to inform policy
• Participate in labor/management meetings to ensure policy compliance

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• Four years of progressively responsible experience
• One year of experience at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, or civic organization in the social services sector
• Must be permanent in the Administrative Director of Social Services civil service title, eligible for title change, or reachable on Exam No. 1121
