Director, Digital Safety

Responsibilities

• Lead and establish the organization’s Digital Safety Framework
• Ensure digital systems, information assets, and operational technologies operate within safety and security requirements
• Provide strategic direction, governance, and oversight of digital safety and cybersecurity programs
• Align programs with organizational objectives, regulatory requirements, and nuclear safety principles
• Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, and external stakeholders to ensure compliant digital operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, IT, Information Systems, or Business Administration
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles
• Minimum 10 years of experience in progressive leadership roles
• Experience developing and governing enterprise-wide security or control frameworks
• Experience implementing standards such as CSA N290.7, ISO 27001, or NIST
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ITIL
• Experience in critical infrastructure, nuclear, or regulated environments
• Experience with operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), or SCADA environments
