Director, Data Engineering & Architecture

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Data Architects and Data Engineers
• Lead solution design and technical delivery for complex data engineering projects across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping data strategies and architectural roadmaps
• Drive practice development by evaluating emerging technologies and AI-accelerated engineering tools
• Oversee the implementation of production-grade data platforms, pipelines, and workflows
• Manage team health and workforce planning, including utilization, hiring, and capacity management

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related fields
• 5+ years in technical leadership and team management roles
• Advanced proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Proven experience in consulting or client-facing delivery environments
• Familiarity with modern data tools and languages including Spark, Python, dbt, or Terraform
