Director, Culinary Services

Responsibilities

• Innovate, plan, promote, and supervise a food service program that meets or exceeds company standards
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a full complement of culinary staff, including scheduling and performance management
• Establish and document general kitchen and dining room sanitation procedures
• Monitor resident preferences, values, and attitudes to adjust menu planning accordingly
• Coordinate with the community leadership team for special functions or resident needs
• Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal regulations, including OSHA and health department practices
• Maintain a safe and sanitary workstation and participate in daily pre-shift meetings to elevate the resident experience
• Provide high-quality customer service to residents and families in a caring and compassionate atmosphere

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire)
• Ability to recruit, train, schedule, and supervise staff
• Strong knowledge of sanitation and regulatory compliance
• Sensitivity to the needs of the senior population

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a senior living or healthcare environment
