About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize cross-dock operations across the United States and Mexico.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding operations, escalations, and performance reporting (MBRs/QBRs).
- Manage 3PL providers by establishing and enforcing operational KPIs and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks to maximize throughput and minimize transit times.
- Oversee cross-border freight consolidation and deconsolidation to improve customs efficiency.
- Implement standardized operating procedures and lead Lean/Six Sigma initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Manage the cross-dock operations budget and drive cost-per-unit reductions.
- Lead and develop regional management personnel across the North American network.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of progressive leadership experience in warehousing, logistics, or cross-dock operations.
- 3 years of experience in automotive logistics, JIT delivery, or sequenced parts operations.
- 4 years of experience managing 3PL providers and multi-site operational networks.
- Proven experience managing U.S.-Mexico cross-border logistics and customs processes.
- Advanced proficiency with WMS, TMS, and supply chain analytics platforms.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 40% to support facility audits and operational reviews.
- Professional proficiency in English; Spanish proficiency is strongly preferred.
